Meet Our Teachers

LeAnn Loghry
Director

LeAnn has a passion for working with and impacting the lives of young children. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and has been on staff at Lifegate working with children in various roles for the past 19 years. She was the Children’s Ministry Pastor at Lifegate Church’s Papillion Campus prior to coming to the preschool. This is her tenth year as Director at Lifegate Preschool. She considers it an absolute honor and blessing to work with each child and to partner with their family. LeAnn has been married to her husband, Bill, for 25 years and has three children, Lilly (20), Livia (17) and Will (13), who all attended Lifegate Preschool. She enjoys singing and bike riding in her spare time. LeAnn looks forward to all God has in store for each child He brings to the Lifegate Preschool program!

Arvela Robbins
Associate Director &
High Fives Head Teacher

Arvela is excited to share God’s love with future generations as they grow in faith and wisdom! This is her eighth year at Lifegate Preschool. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. She is a former Third Grade and Substitute Teacher. In her years of ministry, she’s served as a Sunday School Teacher, Children’s Choir Director and Assistant Children’s Ministry Director. She and her husband, Clashaud, of 20 years, are blessed with five children, Ayana (19), Shaud (17), Jaidell (15), Jeremiah (13), and Adara (11), four of whom attended Lifegate Preschool. Arvela’s prayer is that her students would know that through Christ, all things are possible!

Stephanie Groenjes
Head Teacher

Stephanie has been passionately working with children for over 30 years in a variety of educational and ministry roles. She has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Counseling. This is her first year teaching at Lifegate Preschool. Deeply enthusiastic about the next generation, Stephanie has devoted her life to sharing the love of God and guiding others in their faith. She has been married to her husband, Jason, for 28 years, and together they have six children and two grandchildren. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys reading, learning, spending time with her family camping, bike riding, and exploring the outdoors. She is excited to invest in the lives of her students and make an eternal impact for the Kingdom through her work at Lifegate Preschool.

Amber Strohmyer
Head Teacher

Amber has her Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and has always loved being around children. She has been a part of Lifegate Church for eleven years, and has volunteered with Lifegate Christian School over the last eight years.  She is married to her husband, Brinton, and has two children.  This is Amber’s sixth year teaching at Lifegate Preschool after being a stay-at-home mom for several years.  She enjoys spending quality family time with her husband and kids and enjoys being outdoors with her kids in her free time.  Amber is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the preschool team at Lifegate.

Jaycie Hatten
Assistant Teacher

Jaycie has spent many years working  with children and is currently furthering her education at Metro Community College. This will be her first year at Lifegate Preschool; however, she has worked at Lifegate Christian School’s after school care program for two years. Prior to coming to the preschool, Jaycie was at Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for six months learning and sharing the gospel with people who did not know Jesus. She also has experience working with kids in a child care setting. Jaycie’s biggest desire is to see young people fall in love with Jesus and she is eager to pour in to the students at Lifegate Preschool. Jaycie is so grateful that the Lord led her to the preschool and she is anxiously anticipating all that He is going to do this year!

Tara Handy
Assistant Teacher

Tara has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. She was a substitute teacher and also homeschooled her son for several years. Tara has a passion for educating and enriching the lives of children. She is originally from Michigan and has lived in seven states, all thanks to her husband’s active duty military service. Tara and her husband, Josh, have been married for 16 years and have a son named Cameron (14). Her family spends the majority of their time at Cameron’s swim meets. Tara loves spending time traveling, being outside, walking, and reading. Her family also has a Goldendoodle named Cricket, who they love dearly. Tara feels incredibly blessed the Lord has given her the opportunity to teach at Lifegate Preschool. She is looking forward to seeing the growth of all of her students this year. 

Jenny Kunnath
Art Teacher

Jenny loves Jesus, art and kids! She sees art as an effective commutative tool and is excited to be a part of a team that helps students grow in wisdom and stature for the Lord in every area of life. She has been married to her husband, Sharad, for 20 years and has two very busy teenagers, Arpun(18) and Sanna(16). Both of her children benefited immensely from the amazing praying teachers at Lifegate Christian School during their elementary years. She has learned so much volunteering at school with them and from her experience helping with children’s ministry. Jenny completed her Bachelors in Architecture from India, but is hoping to have many years of helping build up strong little minds at Lifegate Preschool.

Linda Davison
Art Teacher
M/W/F AM & PM

Linda grew up in Southern California and has three grown daughters and seven grandchildren plus one great-granddaughter. She has served the church family in Papillion and West Dodge. Starting her eleventh school year with Lifegate preschool. Linda feels so blessed to be able to share Jesus while doing art crafts and projects with the preschoolers.  Linda loves Jesus and is so excited about the honor she’s been given to share His love to the children in her care and to be able to support and encourage those she works with.
